Infinix NOTE 40 Pro :
I don’t know of any mid-range flagship devices, which offer users a ready-to-use wireless charger, but infinix managed to do it with a price of about 396,000 NAA, or about 300 N, I’ve had this phone for some time.
The unboxing experience of the note 40 Pro is quite interesting, you get the same eject tool as expected, an envelope with some documentation, and another not so common thing that you also get, is a tempered glass cream protector, this is not something that you see every day in new smartphone boxes, you also get this nice leather case, plus you get stickers.
The 70 wat fast charger, the charging cable and the wired USBC headphones, you think that’s all you’ll get in the box, but there’s another box, you have a wireless charging box, and I first saw it with the infinix note 30 Pro, where it comes with this wireless charger this time around, we have this magnetic wireless charger, in the box and the previous one was not magnetic.
But this one is magnetic for the phone case, which is really cool.
The note 40 Pro, is in this Titan gold color the design of the note 40 Pro, and looks like an improved version of last year’s device, I know there is a constant debate about whether cough screens are better than flat screens.
But if we are going to see what this device looks like, I think it is a 10 as far as the design is concerned, you will be attracted by the chromic look, you know the shiny look on the edges of this phone, on all sides and in particular the bump area of the rear camera, it protrudes, it polarizes, it is square, and you are a fan of it or you can’t stand it.
The case is tough, it’s soft and it also serves as a magnetic holder, for the wireless charger, you have a design that reminds you of what you’re wearing, like the iPhone with the iconography in particular, and it feels like it’s something cool, that you have in your hands as a perfect finish, for this design.
IP53 protection rating for splashes, water and dust resistance, which is something you may want to review, to take it to the next level on the infinix 40 Pro.
Is this screen at first glance, you can see how sharp and dynamic and INF this screen is, has stocked it with everything you could want from a flagship device, using it as a daily screen is pleasant, for the eyes.
It’s a phone with a maximum brightness of 1,300 points, it will be good for you in the sun, and I wasn’t too bothered by the 6.78-inch screen, it’s curved and has a normal screen, if the hand that can reach everywhere in the corner, and I’m glad they also gave us an AMOLED screen that refreshes at 120 HZ, anything less would have prompted a lot of people, to look over this phone and look for the next best thing.
I mention that this is a c-screen phone and that the screen-to-body ratio seems a little futuristic and it’s smart for the eyes, when you do something like watch a movie for example, it seems to disappear, which makes it a little more immersed, which makes you a little more immersed when watching stuff.
Infinix cites a screen / body ratio of 93.6% , the screen resolution, but if you are curious, is 1080x 2436 pixels, except that these are specifications that you would have obtained, some time ago as a flagship device and talking about watching something.
The sound would be designed in collaboration with JBL, it sounds stereo and that sounds right, now what about the performance, you get a mediatech dimensity 7020 chipset, and this octacore chipset is designed to prioritize battery life, and although the performance is not bad on the side, it’s not for heavy pushers either when you play Call of Duty mobile.
The graphics quality settings, are limited to just average, because as I mentioned, the chip is not the most powerful on the upside, although the refresh rate of 120 HZ, allows you to get the high frame rate settings that somehow compensate, this by playing at the available setting, the highest does not bother this phone at all.
We go through several gaming sessions, without any lag and in average daily use we have not found any setbacks in the time we have had it, in the studio for storage you get 25 GB and for Ram you definitely get 8 GB of RAM, these are not the most stunning figures in this category, but it is just enough to meet your needs overall.
The performance features that you get on the infinix 40 Pro, will be decent for the most part and especially the battery life that you know.
The 40 Pro series will receive two major upgrades to the Android version, and 36 months of security updates globally, so you will upgrade to Android 16, I think that’s not bad at all.
So the battery of the infinix 40 Pro, is a mamp of 5,000, and this did not disappoint, I already mentioned earlier that the dimes 720 chipset, which we get on this device, is designed to get the most out of the battery life of your smartphone.
So pairing this with a pretty big battery, means that you won’t have battery problems for a long time with the infinix note 40 Pro, I must say that it has an incredible standby time, during the time that we had this in the studio.
We took a lot of pictures, we took a few videos, we watched a lot of videos, and we scrolled through social media.
Now we have only had to charge this battery once, every 3 days or so, or once every 3 days charging this device becomes quite interesting.
The infinix 40 Pro comes with a 70W charger in the box, which is great, but beyond getting a tasty charger, infinix has taken things a step further by designing a special system they call all around fast Charge 2.0.
Basically, it’s done to better manage the power supply, and allow the load to be a little more efficient, one thing caught my attention in the multi-p speed system, which infinix offers.
So depending on your specific situation, you can work with a low, constant temperature charge that guarantees, that your phone stays healthy.
The temperature is good during the charging session, this means that your phone will charge relatively slower, but for a slightly faster charge, with more balanced performance, you can switch to smart charging mode.
Infinix says that it will take your device from 0 to 50%, in 20 minutes, and based on our test, it was almost there.
The charging speed that we did in the studio, went from 0 to 41% in 20 minutes, the charging speeds will vary depending on the conditions, so I guess it makes sense for the fastest charging speed, you can switch to hypercharge, and infinix claims that this mode will make your phone go from 0 to 50%, in just 16 minutes.
Now, based on our test, it went from 0 to 50% in 20 minutes, which is barely 4 minutes of the announced number, and in 40 minutes we went from 0 to 92%.
Another option to charge this phone is of course wireless charging, as I mentioned and I really like the look of the wireless charger, and the way it snaps magnetically on the back of the case, it’s called a MAGNETIC pad, and because the case is magnetic, it’s called a magnetic charger, because it’s actually a 15W wireless charger, and you can keep it at your bedside and just put your phone on it, before going to bed so you don’t have to fill it with cables and from what I understand.
You can actually charge this phone wirelessly up to 20 WS, but it’s 15 WS now what charged the phone, up to so from 0 to 100%, it charges the phone in 2 hours and 33 minutes, so if you go to bed, I think it’s PL 20.
You sleep for more than 2 hours and 33 minutes, I think it’s okay of course, there is love in sharing, and you can use your infinix phone, to wirelessly charge other devices.
So this is a form of reverse wireless charging of course, it will charge at a maximum rate of 5 watts, but as for the cable, you know that the wire to be wired, charges at 10W to top it off.
The whole infinix has added a few guarantees, to make sure that you get the most out of the battery, of your phone, so one is the bypass charging mode, which allows you to you know how to use your phone, while it is charging and to power it directly on the motherboard by passing the battery.
You can watch videos play games, while it is charging without increasing the temperature of your device, although it sounds scary in a way, there is also an AI charging protection, which recovers your battery up to 80% when you sleep and then controls the charge, so that it reaches 100% carefully.
So you don’t like it, not to overload your phone using the cameras of the infinix Note 40 Pro, gives you some things to consider after taking a lot of photos, in different lighting conditions.
I noticed that you needed a lot of effort, so that each photo is consistent on the data sheet, there are three cameras on the back of the device, you have a large 108 megapixel sensor, with two additional sensors or two additional 2 megapixel cameras.
And they will help you with portraits and macro, the flash is very bright, and it has this colorful circle that lights up when you charge your phone, or when you activate the AI, or when you have a notification if you look at the back of your phone, it also shows for music and games, as I said.
You can actually see the lines the 108-megapixel sensor, still leaves you a lot of room to get as much detail as possible, at least up close and from afar, and you quickly need steady hands, to get good photos of good images, with this guy and you could end up getting something vibrant like that.
So what about when, it’s dark infinix had a lot to say about the night capabilities, of this device, so we had to go to an arcade and we took some pictures first.
I think they tried with the image processing, there is noise in the image, but there is just a good distinction of the elements, within it and I like that, but it may not hold up, when you zoom in to capture, when you take a stable photo in an arena with a lot of colors.
I think you will get a lot of sharpness, but you will not get a bright image, but if you turn on the night mode, you will get brightness but you will not get sharpness, and the shorts will look very smooth, these are sort of the standard compromises, which you will get in many flagship devices from me.
Now, taking pictures with people, at night is something that I really like infinix to improve, but when we went out, we quickly remember how brilliant lighting, will help this camera.
Conclusion :
Now, this is what the video quality looks like on the infinix Note 40 pro, at 2K 30 frames per second, watching both stabilized and unstabilized videos side by side, you should definitely turn on stabilization, because you won’t have any usable footage, if you don’t use something like a tripod, or if you don’t have something to hold your phone in place to record videos on it while the sharp focus requires even more attention, especially when it comes to portable videos at night, but many imperfections are not bare, and it looks shiny and usable.
