Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra :
Samsung, the galaxy book 4 ultra, so this is the top level of the galaxy book 4 range, but there are several models, including a 360° model and a pro model, so you can really find a laptop that fits your needs from Samsung, and these all have the brand new Intel Core Ultra processors inside.
Now we’re going to take a look at what comes in the box, and then of course we’re going to get acquainted with this flagship laptop, including a new display with anti-glare technology, so I’m excited to really test this out with its 16-inch 3K AMOLED display.
This laptop so that we can really test it, I’m even going to play too because there is an Nvidia graphics card inside this specific model okay.
Samsung’s galaxy book 4 ultra in moonstone gray, and they even sent the Intel Core Ultra 9 model, so that the highest model you can even get, let’s see what we get inside first, all our laptops.
We’ll put that aside for a second, there was a small envelope with booklets inside, you also get a USB type-c cable, 2 type-c for charging and your charging brick which is quite large, but it’s actually a little thinner than I expected, but it makes sense because you have a GPU to power with everything else on the laptop, in case you were wondering if it uses Samsung ultra fast charging.
There are the specifications of the brick that correspond to what you came to see, let’s remove it from the paper, it’s good that they use paper and not plastic to wrap their technological products, and that’s it I really really like this color it’s a little lighter than the previous Grays that Samsung has used and depending on the light.
The Samsung logo somehow sparkles with a different color, I really like this touch.
The one-handed opening test to start this better passes, or we are going to have problems then opening it yes it passed very easily, usually laptops of this size will pass, it is always the smaller ones that sometimes have a little trouble anyway.
I’m going to turn on the book four Ultra with that power button, which is right in the upper right corner, which also couples as a fingerprint scanner, as you can see, you can actually remove it, but we’re going to take a closer look at the hardware with the laptop closed.
You have an HDMI port 2 lightning USB type-c ports, looks like a status light, then you notice that it kind of rises at the bottom, because there is a speaker right at the bottom, then moves forward, you have a few microphones on this top cover with a notch to open it, then along the right side.
Same thing, same deal with the speaker, and a Micro SD card card slot plus a USB type a port, and a headphone jack, this will come in handy because my small pocket camera uses a micro SD card.
Then there is ventilation at the back at the bottom, you have handles at the four corners, more ventilation, you will see a fan there, and note that these handles have little stickers on them, so peel them off to get a little more grip, and take another look at the two speakers and you will see sound by AKG.
Now I will go through the boot process talk about everything remarkable, and I have to say that this trackpad is huge, and why not you have all this real estate here, you might as well enlarge it and I love it, because then you could be a little more specific, also notice something a little different.
You might start to see more common on keyboards in the future, as I mentioned, the power button has a built-in fingerprint scanner, so we’re going to go ahead and set that up very quickly, it was very quick and easy.

And here is a first look at this beautiful 16-inch dynamic AMOLED screen, you can tell by the blacks that it is an AMOLED, so this screen has a resolution of 3K, and uses Samsung’s 2x dynamic AMOLED, which means that it can get up to 120 HZ per refresh rate, something really exciting about it, is that it uses Samsung’s anti-glare display technology similar to what they have on the Galaxy s24 Ultra.
Yes, obviously it’s still going to reflect those really bright lights, but it’s very dimmed compared to other laptops, we’ll compare that in just a moment, but for now, I’d like to go to the display settings and show the 2880 by 1800 resolution out of the box, then if I switch to the advanced display out of the box, it’s 60 HZ or 120 HZ.
So it is set to this dynamic refresh rate it will change depending on the content displayed, you can force 60 HZ, you can even force 120 HZ to make sure that it is still as smooth, obviously, it will use a little more battery life and as a test to show that the new anti-glare on the left, is the new book 4 ultra and on the right is book three.
So just take a look at the difference, you see, I have the same wallpaper, everything is looking, it’s cut in the middle of this light that I have right behind the camera, and you will notice such a difference in the reflection, and another quick glance as we move from one to the other, just check that difference there.
It’s actually really crazy, and a very welcome addition to Samsung phones and laptops, and I didn’t mention that it’s also a full touch screen.
So first of all, we’re going to install some things, but while we’re doing that, let’s check the keyboard on the left side, you’ll see that the Intel Evo edition, the keyboard itself is not very high, so there’s not a ton of movement to those keys that move to the right side.
You will notice that there is a numeric keypad that I like, which they include especially when you have so much real estate on the keyboard, and as always a quick typing test, so again a short trip and the keys are quite quiet, when you type on it overall and a good press although a good return, when you press it and it bounces by pressing this new button on the keyboard.
Is actually the copilot button that will open the keyboard of Microsoft co-pilot, which is their AI chat assistant where you can ask him a ton of different things, I actually asked him how many subscribers I had and he said 155 million, so you know we’re a little close to that, but it’s nice to have at hand, if you’re maybe trying to write a quick email, or if you’re looking for information about something, it’s an overlay and it will appear on top of the applications.
Now I’m going to play a few different games to show the frames per second that you get with fortnite, the full resolution at 120 frames per second, and I just set it to medium, you can really play with these, and get a higher FPS in games.
So you know it’s just average stock, but let’s go ahead and jump into a game okay, so I’m landing now in general.
The FPS is going to be lower, because I’m flying in the air and it seems that when I land I get about 120 frames per second quite stable.
You know a solid resolution and images now, unfortunately, the Apex EA servers are down right now, I was going to try Apex Legends, but their servers are down, so I don’t know if I will have time to really test this game.
I feel like it’s a pretty big one, because this game is pretty intensive overall, so dive into Da Vinci resolve.
Now it’s about six minutes, I still have more to add, I still have to add some of the game and such, but I just wanted to show you a quick clip, here is our typing test here and I had to turn up the audio.
Then let’s just scroll a little, and you’ll see that it does a good job it’s nice and fluid, I was actually quite satisfied with the editing, it’s plugged in high performance mode.
So the fan is working which is not an expected problem, but again it works very well.
The galaxy book 4 ultra, is more than capable of doing video editing for me, and obviously also photo editing.
I am really satisfied with the performance, and the power of this laptop, and last but not least, I want to talk about some of these Samsung applications with the overall galaxy book experience.
First of all, they have a video editor in case you don’t want to use Da Vinci or other applications, but live wallpaper they have their gallery their notes application which is great.
A quick search Samsung Studio this is the editor I was talking about multicontrol, from which you can control several devices correctly, and as a quick test.
He recognized it right away, it is connected to my phone, he has it on the right side, which you can edit and you will notice.
Now that the mouse is on my screen, you may not be able to see it, but if I go to the Google folder, I obviously don’t touch my screen, I can even use gestures to go back and forth between different pages, I could even open the camera app, and let’s just take a quick picture there, we’ll swipe up to go home that’s it with my trackpad, on my laptop if you want to move it.
You can do it, he even knows the wallpaper I have, it’s so convenient I love Samsung’s ecosystem with their laptops, and even their tablets and handset phones, they even have their live wallpapers that are dynamic, and can change and they’re actually really cool.
Conclusion :
There are a bunch of different themes such as nature that I just applied there, as you can see, it looks really nice, and I change it every 5 minutes, 15 minutes, whatever you decide.
