Today I’m going to review the octastream elite Max, so let’s see if it’s worth your money, let’s see what you get inside, and let’s see what’s included with the apps so let’s go.
So in the box, you get your HDMI socket remote control, standard 5V 2 amp charger, with some shortcut keys such as EPG, YouTube, Netflix Prime video, and also a quick support button, which I have never seen before.
You can also quickly access your live body, and also it has the most rocking button, which is always nice pretty AAA batteries, standard two of them not included of course.
You get a very basic user guide, which is that some of the specifications that are Android 12, use the all winner h616 processor, and the malet g31 GPU 4 GB of RAM, DDR3 128 GB storage,which is expandable.
You have dual-band gigabit Ethernet Wi-Fi, and all the pretty standard stuff for these fully loaded boxes.
The box is silver in color, compared to some of the black ones you usually see which are made of aluminum, so instead of plastic, which is good.
You have your typical micro SD USB 3, USB 2, two antennas to give you a better signal IR digital audio port, HDMI there is your gigabit lan, and your DC port and not too much ventilation.
And it’s a pretty basic chipset, so it shouldn’t run too hot, it’s not that powerful quad core of course, but definitely not the latest and greatest chip, but you’re basically running applications, which are going to be streamed.
So you don’t need as much CPU, it really depends if you’re going to use it for other things, then you get the standard clock setting on the front, so pretty basic as far as boxes go, but nice to see it’s metal.
So let’s take a look at the start of the box, and see what applications are included, which are fine, so we start the box so that you have the start screen coming, go to get batteries in the remote control.
There is also the learning function, so these are the instructions on the back, there is a start screen.
So let’s go to the settings, let’s go to our network and now let’s connect to our Wi-Fi okay, now we are connected to our Wi-Fi and the remote control does not seem to be a Bluetooth remote control, and there are no voice functions, so just report it.

Because many of these boxes are at the top of the range like an Nvidia shield of course, you sometimes pay a high price, but you also don’t pay monthly fees.
Conclusion :
So for me, I just have the Internet, I cut my cable a long time ago, I like using these boxes, they’re just not complicated, you plug them in, you add the applications you want, and it just gives you easy access.
So of course some people like to go cheaper outside, you can definitely get a fire stick, have another service for which you can pay monthly, but then it depends on how long this service will be available for the IPTV service.
