How to Update the MAG Box via USB
In some cases, the MAG Box may lose portal settings after a firmware update, preventing you from adding new portal addresses. To resolve this, you can downgrade or manually update the software using a USB drive.
Step 1: Prepare Your USB Drive
Ensure your USB drive meets the required specifications for updating. You will need to download the latest firmware image file.
Step 2: Download the Firmware Image
Visit the manufacturer’s server to download the required firmware.
Step 3: Create a Directory on the USB Drive
Create a directory named mag<model>
on the root of your USB drive (e.g., mag322
for MAG322). Place the imageupdate firmware file in this directory.
Step 4: Insert the USB Drive into the MAG Box
Connect the prepared USB drive to one of the USB ports on your MAG Box. You can use either the rear or front USB port.
